We should work on
A shared space that could work for band practices, live shows, exhibitions and all ages/no booze shows.
I’m not straight edge, but if you bring kids into the equation I think it’s best if there’s no booze at all - surely people can enjoy shows without getting pissed? If anyone has any idea where we could start the hunt for such a venue in the Glasgow area email me at struggletownrecords@gmail.com
i’m reblogging this again because it’s something i’ve been thinking about a lot lately. this place doesn’t need another venue, it needs somewhere people feel comfortable hanging out and making new friends, it’s all about making music and strengthening our community. i was talking to a friend from the states last night who used to run a punk house and it all started to make sense, i think a punk house is the answer. if we can provide a safe environment for people to be creative as well as food and shelter for bands or people who need it then surely the scene would thrive. think about it.
if any of you are at all interested i’d recommend you pick up a copy of punk house: interiors in anarchy (if you ask nice i’ll lend it to ya)
This is a great piece of input. If we got somewhere like this, it would be incredible.
